Peggy Johnson has been a staple of the Oklahoma City acoustic music scene since 1985 when she planted her Georgia roots in the Red Dirt plains, blending her southern style with the populist politics of Woody Guthrie’s legacy.

Tulsa-based singer-guitarist Tom Pevear channels finger-picked blues, folk and country with reverent authenticity and fresh original flair, keeping the heart of roots music alive on stage and record.

Brother Rabbit

Tulsa’s Brother Rabbit fuse dreamy shoegaze textures with propulsive rock rhythms and haunting vocal harmonies to carve out an evocative soundscape rooted in the city’s creative underground.

Tulsa musician Jim Bachmann channels raw authenticity with roots-driven songwriting and a live energy that bridges intimate storytelling and wide-open rock & roll.

The Tulsa-based indie rock outfit Native Strange, led by Blake McBride, channels soulful vocals, sweeping guitar lines and introspective lyricism into a sound that’s as emotionally raw as it is sonically wide-open.

HI-FI HILLBILLIES

The Tulsa trio The Hi‑Fi Hillbillies haul the spirit of ’50s- and ’60s-era vintage rock & roll into the present, delivering twang-rich guitars, electric piano, and thundering drums with a healthy serving of rhythm & blues and pure dance-floor energy.

Joplin-based quartet The Websters blend driving riffs, tight harmonies and a raw DIY energy to deliver rock sounds that feel both timeless and freshly alive.

Tulsa’s Tempest Revival deliver a rich mix of original Americana and country-tinged tunes, inflected with a wide stylistic embrace that keeps every live show fresh.

Tulsa’s Upscale Smoke fuse smooth jazz, funk-laced R&B and tight horn-driven grooves into a velvet-toned live experience that grooves as hard as it swings.

Tulsa-area musician blurs genre lines with her soulful, multi-instrument-driven fusion of roots, blues, country and rock—delivering powerful vocals and dynamic live presence that leaves audiences both moved and energized.

Tulsa-based guitarist and bandleader David Thayer anchors his ensemble with soulful vocals and dynamic instrumental interplay, bringing top-tier local talent together for spirited live shows that blur the lines between rock, jazz and blues.
